Upon visually inspecting the lift station, it was discovered that the surface was heavily covered in rust.

Description of Application:
Due to the size of the lift station, Kim Construction was only able to abrasion blast and coat 12’ VF at a time. If they chose to blast the entire structure at once, then they were worried the structure would flash rust, compromising the surface and possibly affecting the adhesion of the Raven 405. Also, due to the size of the lift station, the abrasion material had to be pumped out using the city of Romeoville’s vac-truck. Each 12’ VF blasted left about a 10-12 inches of rust and abrasion material on the bottom of the structure.
