Severe MIC corrosion of 60″ sewer interceptor in Miami-Dade. Crown of RCP corroded at more than 2″ exposing corroded steel reinforcements

Description of Application:
Interceptor rehabilitated with 80-300 mils of AquataPoxy® A6 in 1996. An 18-month inspection found the epoxy in excellent condition with no loss of bond or any sign of distress.

Those involved in the inspection included Rod Lovett of Miami- Dade, Patrick Murray of Earth Tech Engineering, John Hoffman of Hazen & Sawyer, Stewart Nance of Raven Lining Systems and David Leyland of KTATator. A6 was found in mint condition in interceptor and specified for future sewer rehabilitation by Miami-Dade.
